I’ve been working hard over the last four months paying back some debt from the company going down at the end of last year and saving up as much as possible.
My visa for Australia came through and now I am planning on taking the family to Sydney to live.
I am a bit worried about the work situation and how easy it will be to make as much money as I can here. The market for my skills is booming here in the UK and I have been working hard to get to the cutting edge to earn as much as possible. (and because I enjoy it).
From looking at the job boards in Sydney and comparing the average wage to the cost of living over there it seems like I may be a lot worse off. However, sunshine beckons and if it doesnt work out I can always come back.
This will cost a fair amount to get there and a lot to come back if we do. All of this is a delaying factor in saving for investments and to get a head start on making my money work for itself.
Life is hard to balance sometimes and it is not all about money.
